It is as well responsible for the installation of Medium duty powertrains in European Volvo Products (for trucks, buses, Penta or Volvo Construction Equipment) and the installation of Medium duty products in Asia through its Bangalore site.As the owner of Electrical and Electronic (E&E) products for Powertrain Engineering (PE), we specify, develop and verify electrical systems and wiring harness with built-in quality for engines, gearboxes and after-treatment systems. We are also the backbone of the associated embedded systems development, we configure, integrate and verify software and dataset developed within PE using and designing the PE software factory.As Verification Engineer, you will contribute to a better quality of the embedded systems by actively developing relevant and robust automatic tests, allowing delivering software and dataset more frequently and quicker. Doing so, you will act toward a continuous integration and verification of the embedded systems fully supporting the product evolution with a shorter time to market.By joining the E&E SW/DST Integration and Verification team, you will be part of an engaged team proud of its product, open minded and self-organized, willing to learn and help each-other, in a positive atmosphere.Role descriptionYour main responsibility as Verification Engineer for E&E department will be to deliver verified SW/DST products and minimize the risks towards our customer by:defining the E&E verification strategy for any product evolution ,writing test procedures, performing the tests and investigating issues, using the Hardware in the Loop methodology as main tool,seeking for the right test means according to the level of the expected test (MTE, SIL, HIL, vehicle) to optimize the PE verification strategy.To secure long term verification strategy, you will also plan, prioritize and develop automatic tests.You will be part of a team of around 14 people, using the agile principles where autonomy, collaboration and ‘will do’ attitude is essential. As all member, you will be pro-active in defining more efficient, new or innovative verification solutions and ways of working.You will also be part of the global network around HIL simulation test benches and interact with our colleagues abroad.Virtual verification is a corner stone of the Volvo Long term strategy; by integrating the team, you will be part of this journey to develop a strong and efficient verification methodology for our PE Products.Who are you?You are holding a Master degree in Electronics or Automation engineering, you have been working within the embedded system environment.You have the right mindset, focused on the customer satisfaction, balancing with the right risk management. You have knowledge on the embedded system verification means (HIL/SIL).A certification in verification methods, or e-mobility experience is a plus.By integrating the team, you will develop further your knowledge of the E&E technology, you will be able to develop SW such as Python – for test automation or Matlab/Simulink – for HIL model development, and of course, you will know a lot around virtual verification.Did you know?
